Socca World Cup 2024 to Kick off in Oman on 29 November

Muscat, 24 Nov (ONA) --- The Socca World Cup 2024 will kick off on 29 November 2024 in the Sultanate of Oman. As many as 40 teams from around the world will participate in the world cup which will be ongoing till 7 December 2024.

Waleed Al Obaidani, Director of the Committee organizing this sports event said that the Socca World Cup is hosted by the Sultanate of Oman for the first time. The participating teams are divided into 8 groups, with 5 teams in each group competing to reach the final rounds.

On the sidelines of the Socca World Cup 2024, several events will be held daily from 4 pm to 11 pm during the world cup duration. These events will be tailored for all family members and include a variety of entertainment and cultural activities.

The first group includes the following teams: Oman, the USA, Italy, Canada and Qatar. The second group includes Germany, Bulgaria, Georgia, Libya and Serbia.

Meanwhile, the third group comprises Greece, Belgium, Cyprus, Kuwait and Iraq. The fourth group includes Brazil, Egypt, Ireland, Colombia and Iran.

Further, the fifth group includes Poland, France, Turkiye, Pakistan and Haiti. The sixth group comprises Mexico, Latvia, Albania, Peru and Australia.

The seventh group comprises the teams of Kazakhstan, England, Romania, Uruguay and Sudan. Moreover, the eighth and final group comprises Croatia, Hungary, Argentina, Tunisia and South Africa.
