Oman’s Youth Golfers Claim Gold and Silver at GCC Junior Championships in Muscat
Muscat, 24 Dec 2025 (ONA) --- Oman under-13 golf team secured gold and silver medals at the conclusion of the GCC Junior Golf Championship for Girls and Age Categories (under-13 and under-16), hosted by the Sultanate of Oman at the Ghala Golf Club. The tournament was organized by the Oman Golf Association.
The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik Al Said.

Yousef Al Rumhi led the Oman national team to glory by winning first place and the gold medal in the boys' under-13 individual category. Mohammed Waheed of Bahrain secured the silver medal, while his compatriot Khalifa Al Fadhala won the bronze.
The Oman national team, comprising Yousef Al Rumhi, Taimour Al Busaidi, and Ibrahim Fayez Riyadh, claimed the silver medal in the under-13 team event. The team from Bahrain placed first to take the gold, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) team finished third to win the bronze medal.

In the boys' under-16 individual competition, Daniil Sokolov of Qatar won the gold medal, Khalid Sadiq of Bahrain took silver, and Abdullah Darwish of the UAE earned bronze. In the team standings for this category, Qatar clinched the gold, Bahrain the silver, and the UAE the bronze.

In the women's individual event, players from the UAE dominated the podium. Jamie Camero won the gold medal, Safiya Al Balushi secured silver, and Lara El Chaib took bronze. For the women's team competition, the UAE claimed the gold medal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) won silver, and Bahrain earned bronze.
