Winners of Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts to Be Unveiled on 9 November

Muscat, 31 Oct (ONA)—The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCC) will announce the names of winners of the 9th edition of Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature.

Habib Mohammed Al Riyami, SQHCC Chairman will hold a press conference to unveil the names of winners.

The current edition, for Omanis only, has been dedicated to contestants researching Omani heritage (culture branch), theatrical performance teams (arts branch) and essay writers (arts branch).

The award was established by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 2011 to honour Omani and Arab intellectuals, culture specialists, artists and literati for their contribution to the revival of thought and the promotion of human exploits. The award gives tribute to all contributors to human civilization. It is an annual competition which is made exclusive once to Omanis and open the next year for all Arabs.
