Iranian Foreign Minister Signs His Book "The Power of Negotiation" at Muscat Book Fair

Muscat, 25 Apr (ONA) —— Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed copies of his book “The Power of Negotiation"* at the Luban Publishing House pavilion during the 29th Muscat International Book Fair.

The event was attended by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Book Fair’s Organizing Committee.

Published by Hashem Publishing House in Beirut and translated by Dr. Fatemeh Mohammadi Sijani, the book features an introduction and six detailed sections covering the nature of negotiations, types of political negotiation, traits of the negotiator, negotiation skills, stages, and requirements.

During his visit, Dr. Araghchi toured the fair, exploring several pavilions, including that of the North A’Sharqiyah Governorate—the guest of honor at this year’s fair—which showcases the governorate’s cultural and historical heritage.

He also visited the Omani Ministry of Information’s pavilion, where he reviewed digital content from Oman News Agency, including an AI-powered virtual exhibition and archival photos bridging past and present—such as images of the Ministry, Salalah Port, and Ain Al Khasfa, alongside the oldest documented photograph predating the 1970s.

Additionally, he took note of the General Directorate of Electronic Media’s contents, including Ain platform, Ain Kids platform, and the Media Portal), featuring over 65,000 audiovisual materials and 60 audiobooks, highlighting the Ministry’s digital transformation efforts.

At the General Directorate of Publications and Artistic Works section, Dr. Araghchi viewed the multilingual book “The Omani Presence in East Africa" (Arabic, English, Swahili), detailing Oman’s historical influence in East Africa, particularly along its eastern coasts. The exhibit also included a model of the House of Wonders, which was built during Sultan Barghash bin Said’s reign in 1883.

He also visited the Iranian Books and Literature pavilion, exploring its latest publications, before stopping by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion to review its collection of manuscripts and notable works.
