Muscat, Jan 1 (ONA) ----- The Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) held its fourth and final meeting for 2019, under the chair of Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Committee.

  The board reviewed minutes of the recent meetings. It discussed and approved some observations received from some members. It also reviewed minutes of meetings of the BOARD assisting committees, namely the Oman Women's Sports Committee, Oman Athletes Committee, Oman Olympic Solidarity Committee, and Oman Sports and Active Society Committee.

     The Board approved the Oman Olympic Academy Agenda for 2020, which includes many courses and various programs in Olympic education, sports media, sports management programs, women's sports, sports marketing, and other courses.

       The Board also approved the initial participation in the GCC 3rd Sports Games, which will be held in the State of Kuwait in April in track and field, swimming, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, shooting, karate, judo, tennis, bicycles, and open-water swimming, windsurfing, beach soccer, beach volleyball and beach volleyball.

      The attendees also approved the administrative and technical standards raised by the Olympic Solidarity Committee for selecting candidates for internal and external courses and programs.
